"A blog (a contraction of the term "weblog") is a type of website, usually maintained by an individual with regular entries of commentary. "
These regular entries of commentary can be seen worldwide, by anyone and everyone. No sense of privacy. But then, does the modern world want to have privacy, forever growing is the celebrity world, it dominates our media, everyone wants to be a celebrity, to have that sense of notification. As a representative of the population, we can be see on live television, in the audience of say 'X Factor', but, we can also audition, to stand out in the limelight, to be noticed. Surely not everyone that enters the X Factor competition thinks they are truely going to win, which defeats the object of the programme.
So other than the crave for notification, bloggers usually too dont reveal much detail about themselves, they do it desecretly, for the experience of free speech. But, by puring out emotions and thoughts, as a literature student and an art student, I and many others can depict flaws and analyse language, so in one post, we can grasp good idea of why you wrote it. The whole interesting ambigous mystery of art is to find out why the artist commited to certin brushstrokes. So why did I post this blog? I posted this blog because I was interested in the blogging society, I have many questions without answers, I wanted the experience too, of having free say and the satisfaction that someone may read it. I also want to publicise myself, my thoughts and my opinions on my certain interests. Next year I plan to study Arts and Events Management at University, meaning that I have a strong likeness to the art industry, photography, sports, music, festivals, and the knitting together of people. So I feel that a blog is a good place to start to organise my discoveries and influences.
